Okay, this is for those not getting the texture mod to work via the drag-and-drop method.
While in edit mode, right click on the texture file and then click "Replace".
Then, choose the modded texture. Then, run the game.
It took me a couple minutes to figure this out apparently, but it works!

you should make a conversion mod for Michael to make him Vinny, with a question block hat and all!
