Not another Persistence mod (New personal vehicles)
INSTALLATION
-you need scripthookV and scripthookdotnet.
-Install that if you don't have it
-create a scripts folder in your game folder if you don't have it
-Just drag and drop the files from the scripts folder in the zip, into your own scripts folder.
- Read the features so you know how to use the mod.
FEATURES
This script allows you to have more personal vehicles for your story mode characters. I made sure that the vehicles you save with this mod function 90percent the same way as the default personal vehicles.
HOW TO USE
To Save a Vehicle: While standing on foot near a car, hold the Context button (the button used for interaction, whether it's the gamepad or keyboard) for one second. Your character will perform a key fob animation, the car will honk, and its current position and modifications will be saved to a .dat file. Once saved, that specific coordinate becomes the car's spawn point. Even after restarting the game, the car will spawn at that exact spot.
To Unsave a Vehicle: While standing on foot near a saved vehicle, hold the Radio Wheel button (the button you press for vehicle radio, might be wise to switch this in the keyboard.) for one second. This deletes the save file and removes the vehicle from your personal fleet.
Vehicle Customization: You do not need to do anything manually. Simply sit in the car and make your changes (like at Los Santos Customs), the script automatically detects any new parts or colors and updates your save file for you.
This ensures the car retains every modification. Whenever the car spawns at its saved location, it will have every performance upgrade, visual part, and color (including rims and interior) exactly as you last customized it.
The Blip & Spawn System
Protagonist-Specific Blips: Every one of your newly saved personal vehicles has a map blip color based on who you saved it with (Blue for Michael, Green for Franklin, Orange for Trevor, white for pedestrians and MP Characters).
Character Filter: Only the cars belonging to the character you are currently playing will spawn. Cars belonging to the other two protagonists or any other ped you play with, will not appear in the world until you switch to them (MPCharacters and other peds share the same vehicles).
Proximity Spawning: To keep your map clean and your performance high, the blip only appears and the vehicle only spawns when you are within 200 meters of the car's saved location.
Map Clutter Prevention: The script removes the blip as soon as you enter the vehicle, since you no longer need the icon to find it.
"Personal" vs. "Persistent"
Not Persistent in World: It is important to understand that these vehicles are NOT persistent in the game world. Just like the characters' main story cars, they do not stay exactly where you leave them if you drive away.
Persistent in Data: However, they remain persistent through game sessions via the .dat file. If your car is destroyed, abandoned, or left behind across the city, it will spawn back at its saved location with all customizations intact. This is exactly how "Personal Vehicles" function in the base game.
No Vehicle Duplicates: If you are already in one of your saved personal vehicles, they won't respawn when you approach their spawn point. The script will check if the car already exists or if you are currently driving it, if you aren't, it will respawn naturally.
Pro-Tips for the Best Experience
For Real-Time Persistence: If you prefer your vehicles to stay exactly where you left them during a single play session, I recommend using this alongside: Automatic Lock/Unlock Car. I have made sure this script is compatible with other persistence mods.
For Vehicle Delivery: If you also want to have your vehicles brought to you, use: Mors Mutual Insurance (MMI SP). It allows you to insure your vehicles and have them brought to you if they exist in the game world, perfect to use with Automatic Lock/Unlock.
Death & Arrest Logic
If you die or get arrested, the script will respawn your personal vehicles at their default location. It doesn't matter if they are persistent, this is personal preference and I will not change it. It's a mild punishment for dying or getting busted, you can always steal a ride and drive back to the vehicle's default location.
CHANGELOG 1.1
-Now cars spawn on character switch and game start, provided the character you're using is not standing right where the car spawns and looking at where it spawns, it will however, spawn when you look somewhere else, and walk about 5 meters from it spawn point, preventing uninmmerssive spawns.
CHANGELOG 1.2
- Now cars spawn no matter what, provided you're not looking at their spawn point and you are the current character owner of the car, there's also an optional version that makes the cars spawn no matter what.
CHANGELOG 1.3
- Fixed an issue introduced in 1.2 that prevented vehicle modifications from being saved, not present in other versions previous to 1.2.
CHANGELOG 1.4
-Now saved vehicles will also save and load neonlights.

@thalilmythos The reason some players get the "saved but no blip/spawn" bug is actually a Windows regional formatting issue. Outside the US, Windows uses commas for decimals (like 17,411), so when the script saves coordinates and later splits that string by commas, it completely shatters the location data. I verified this by manually changing the commas to periods in my bugged .dat file, which instantly fixed the blip and made the car spawn correctly. To fix this permanently, you just need to force your script's thread to use the invariant/US culture format so it always writes decimals with periods regardless of the user's region. Thanks for the awesome mod!
Hey man just a Quick question does it also work with the mp character to save the vehicles ? Or only with Franklin,Trevor and Michael?
@Kyinxa Yes it does, MPCharacter vehicles are white
@loushotta You think this might be people using the MENYOO license plate in all the cars? I have yet to have problems with saving anything, shit I even save submarines, and bycicles, these vehicles don't have visible plates, but they actually do for the game's system
I've got a bug where whenever I save a vehicle, leave the area, and come back, it starts to spawn a new version of my saved vehicle. I end up with a pile of the same vehicle that infinitely spawns. Seems like I'm the odd one out, though. I don't see anyone else reporting this.
Shame since I guess I must have a conflicting mod. Otherwise, this is the exact type of thing I've been looking for for years. Thanks dawg
@loushotta Key thing to notate, this is a huge thing. it saves teh vehicle based off of the license plate so if you run the same plate it just saves over the last saved car with that same plate
@APeX - UAW Like it's being explained in the last few comments, the cars are saved based on the plate of the saved vehicle if you hav a mod that randomizes or change plates, that might explain the duplication of the vehicles.
When the mod is working properly, with no changes in plates having a duplicate it's literally impossible I made a system that forcefully and ruthlessly deletes duplicates, you can't have 2 of the same car.
so can anyone help me? mods loading as normal and no crashes but i cant save a car even with changing the plate. im on the legacy edition
to go along with it. its having problem with dotnet.dll @thalilmythos
@lil tk known bug, don’t know why it happens some people get it, some don’t I can’t reproduce it in my game and I can’t know why.
Are you holding the button press?
@thalilmythos yeah i hold down the right buttons. when i press f4 it shows that the mod is still loading in and when i actually load into the game like spawn in it says its not running properly with dotnet2.dll. preciate you replying
What a great mod! I've already saved about 40 cars around LS, which now gives me an idea to improve this mod: A menu to manage the vehicles we saved to teleport to them and such, cause honestly I forgot where and why I saved few of the cars which had references to movies and video games XD. And of course, this is just a suggestion and if it's not possible or not fitting with the core idea of this mod I'm not complaining since the mod is already well done and clean ;)
@Viper_Hush All good, I will add a mechanic to bring the cars feature with a menu soon, worrynot, I'll get to it.
@thalilmythos Awesome! I'll be waiting for the update.
Absolutely amazing! I've been waiting for an update to some persistence mod as their all outdated.
@Expletiv My man, you are a life saver, I'm going to pin your comment for now.
@Expletiv If you don't mind, can you paste one of your vehicles here? so people can see an example?
@thalilmythos Sure, if you look at line 2 for example, the uneven commas should be dots.

Great mod. Author, can you fix the Windows bug in the script?
@thalilmythos great work!! Can you add the extra paints you found on trainerV which containt the flashy vivid colors? thx
