Welcome to Skysder's Enhanced Traffic Experince: Ultimate Edition!
You can find a full, always up-to-date list of the mods included in this config here!
You may be familiar with my Lite version (of which you can find here!) and its main concept, which was to update and freshen Los Santos with DLC vehicles. The Ultimate Edition goes beyond DLCs and supports a vast majority of lore-friendly mods! There are a few exceptions regarding mods I did not and will not include, which are listed below.
- Old and or very low quality
- No immediate use for the mod (i.e. doesn't fit into traffic or scenarios)
- Unlore
That being said, this does include most lore-friendly mods you can find on this website. I searched far and wide to make sure I didn't leave any stone unturned. What can you find in the Ultimate Edition you ask? Read below!
- DLC vehicles + mods
- New dispatch.meta, popcycle.data, popgroups.ymt and edited vehiclemodelsets.meta!
- Ever-changing traffic variations
What to expect in the future:
- More fleshed out vehiclemodelsets
- New lore-friendly mods added on their release
Some important notes:
- Increasing your games vehicle variety multiplier can do wonders for this mod. You can find that setting and your city density setting within /Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V?settings.xml and look for CityDensity/VehicleVarietyMultiplier! Find a sweet spot for those settings that your PC can handle. I keep mine at 1.5 for density and 20.0 for variety respectively.
- GTA V is a game from 2013, so it can only handle so much! The game will prioritize some vehicles over others (A.K.A the 'GTA Effect') so don't panic if you see 4-5 of the same vehicle at a time. The game will adapt over time.
- This mod includes A LOT of mods, including LODless ones, that may decrease performance. However, they are few and far between and should not cause any extreme performance decreases, even on lower-end PCs.
- While this mod does support many other lore-friendly mods, I want to make it explicitly clear that it DOES NOT support the Vanillaworks Extended Pack 2.5. Instead, all mods supported are their singular versions. However, it will support VWE 2.6 in the future.
Installation instructions can be found in the README file located in the archive. Please read it thoroughly. I will not address comments regarding problems with installation unless absolutely necessary!
1.0 Hotfix:
- Added backup files!

@technical_issues sure does
@Skysder tested it and it's awesome, keep it up!
Is this plan on being updated? It would be nice to see the Rancher Pick-up, Vapid Torrence and Stanier Generation 2, and New Alamo spawn in traffic.
Do I need to install every mod or can I download just some and it will still work perfectly fine, also cause it’s a open iv download if I install it then add vehicles that would spawn it would still work correct?
is this the best traffic mod for adding mp vehicles and including add on cars like vans and police vehicles?
are there any plans to merge with the mod "Back on beat" or adding a similar feature to the mod?
@Skysder Hi, when can we expect the overhauled version to come? :)
@kowal 3D Soon! It's currently being worked on!
I went through the previous comments and please, correct me if I'm wrong:
I must FIRST install supported mods AND THEN this enhancer for them to appear in traffic, right?
If I installed this mod first and supported mods later it won't spawn in traffic.
the mod cars dont appear.. @skysder
@Ryojosakebu Doesn’t matter the order they’re installed. You can either give the game a little bit to adjust, or you can simply restart it. If you only want a few add-on vehicles installed, it’ll be harder for them to spawn since the game is choosing the vanilla vehicles over the modded ones. Another way to get them to spawn quicker is by just spawning the add-on and driving around for a bit. Like how if you find a certain vehicle and drive around in it, you’ll start to see more of it. Unfortunately, it’s just the way this game works and it is running on ~10 year old coding.
@CitiZeN030 See comment above this reply ^
anymore traffic is compatible to vwe please
@Skysder What should I install better? "Skysder's Enhanced Traffic Experience: Ultimate Edition" or "Skysder's Enhanced Traffic Experience: Lite Edition"!?
Does this require clean mods folder and no scripts folder?
Finally someone managed to create such a nice mod like this. I have vanillaworks and iv pack installed too and it works wonders. Keep um the good work my friend!
is there a reason traffic vehicles randomly despawn infront of me? it happens frequently and sometimes crashes my game. also it sometimes kicks me out of cars i spawn with menyoo.
nvm i fixed it
I don't understand, isn't that the same as VWE?
First of all, this is an amazing mod, thank you for all the effort you put into it. Having the online cars driving around is exactly what i was after. Now i have a potentially stupid question, I would love to use a lot of the compatible lore-friendly mods that are in the link above, however I can only install 4-5 of them before my game crashes on the loading screen for Story Mode. I've tried various combinations of different mods, and they do spawn in traffic, which is amazing, but as soon as there's more than 4 or 5 in the folder the game will not load.
Am I missing something simple here or is that just the way it works? Thanks in advance for any help!
