Edit: there's a workaround if you keep the "SlowMoMod/sounds" folder in the GTA5 main folder. It works like a breeze, even in FiveM.

  • Franklin3

It's basically working even on FiveM, with the only problem it can't find the sound files and shows an error message that you can close without consequences. Anyone knows how to disable sounds or to change the sounds folder path in the config file?

@Jupiter Kasparov I'm sorry I am a real noob about scripting, but I hope this page could help:

    https://docs.fivem.net/docs/scripting-reference/

As far as I understand, FiveM (yes, it's the same as "cfx.re") is using mainly functions in Lua, JavaScript and/or C#.
I've seen some .asi files working perfectly (like Menyoo.asi and TrainerV.asi), as in "server.cfg" file you can allow players to use scripthook-based plugins ("sv_scriptHookAllowed 1").

@Jupiter Kasparov , since you're potentially back at work, could you possibly think of a FiveM compatible .asi file? Your player is awesome, it has been my default music player in GTA.

@flyth Obviously I have the backup of all the old configuration files: scripthook, gameconfig, and so on. It' s working fine, offline. But now I created a FiveM server that's running like a breeze. At the beginning the learning curve is quite hard, but then it’s pretty easy and installing mods isn't so hard. You can also convert GTAV mods to FiveM rather easily.

@gta gameriv @Ismaelcie @Blinko @blond97 I definitely think it's the "same" R* problem of every DLC or big update. They always didn't care (aka "didn't give a damn") about SP and modding. They are only interested in MP, Online, and money. Just think of the millions of players in MP, think of the microtransactions, multiply by millions, and you have the answer why after 10 years they haven't released GTA VI yet, still keeping to release GTA V DLCs.

With every big update we have the same issues: some mods are broken (some of them definitely), others need an urgent update to work, every time you have to wait for scripthook update, menus update, gameconfig update, and so on. If it were possible not to be forced to download their "online sh*t", I wouldn't care and all we SP players would live happily.

With the tiny update before this one I only managed to go vanilla (without mods) without crashing after few seconds.
For the time being, I luckily managed to downgrade to 2845, and all my stuff is working fine, but now I'm definitely thinking of migrating to FiveM and make my own server.

@Tayo159 @XIVFaDe @Ismaelcie @UnstoppableTJ I'm ever more convinced the issue is in the R* upgrade itself. I verified the files on Steam, they seem ok (so Steam says...). I got rid of the whole mods+scripts folders (backup, obvioulsy), uninstalled asi manager, moved away all the asi files (and their ini): game plain vanilla.
Load Story mode, exit the house, 2-3 steps, 5-10 seconds = CRASH.

  • Franklin3

@terminatingissue66 There's also the chance it could be a problem with the R* update itself. I tried without mods, even so I had a crash after few minutes.

  • Franklin3

@dansart same. Tried "more mods-less mods" gameconfig, same. I tried without mods as well (in OpenIV uninstall ASI, etc.), and the game keep crashing after few minutes, too. I verified the files on Steam and all seems ok. Maybe a memory issue? Obviously I have HeapAdjuster, PackfileLimitAdjuster, PoolManager, ZPatchV, and all that stuff. Is it possible to deactivate the last update without downgrading the game? I haven't the old files.

Hi, I have the latest SHVDN, but sometimes after loading I get this error (usually after I had to Ctrl-Alt-Del to shut the game being stuck at closing):

[18:43:14] [ERROR] Caught fatal unhandled exception:
    System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
    Parameter name: key
    at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowArgumentNullException(ExceptionArgument argument)

    at AdvancedPersistence.AdvancedPersistence.OnTick(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\Users\marin\source\repos\AdvancedPersistence\AdvancedPersistence\AdvancedPersistence.cs:line 7321
    at SHVDN.Script.MainLoop()
[18:43:14] [ERROR] The exception was thrown while executing the script AdvancedPersistence.AdvancedPersistence.
    [18:43:14] [WARNING] Aborted script AdvancedPersistence.AdvancedPersistence.

Reinstalling the mod over itself, sometimes helps, but not always. I had to delete the last saved game at times, loosing all the saved vehicles, and it's a bit annoying, I think you'll agree with me.

By the way, what's this: "C:\Users\marin\" ? I'm not that user, neither is there that folder in my PC...
