All radio stations require a hud.gfx definition to be able to display on the radio wheel, otherwise it's going to glitch around. Unfortunately, that's a file that is not easily editable meaning not everyone will be able to have HUD icons, or provide compatibility with other radio mods. This is a file set up with compatibility for all current radio stations, and with pre-defined slots for all future radio mods. This includes the texture sheet. All that mod devs will have to do is change the names of the pre-defined slots.
I also merged all Rockstar's DLC stations into a single texture, because they won't do it and I figured the texture dictionary would look neater without a million radio textures in it.
This file is free to use by everyone without needing to ask for permission.
You put this into:
• If on game version 1.0.2372.0 or below: "update.rpf\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf".
• If on game version 1.0.2545.0 or above: "update.rpf\x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf".
Should probably be common knowledge, but anyway.
The optional hud.ytd variant found inside of the the "optionals/beta radio icons" folder goes into the same location.
No, this mod does not contain actual radio stations!! It only contains support for icons on the radio wheel, you will have to download the stations separately.

Since the trackID file is similar in nature where it can't be add-on (it can, but only in one DLC. If you have more than one DLC with add-on trackID's, the game will not load more than one) so this is intended to be a drag-and-drop solution that will support all the mods. Note, however, that stations with trackID's that overlap the original ones or other mods are not included. Mod authors have to update those first to remove any conflicts.
You put these into:
• If on game version 1.0.2545.0 or below: "update.rpf\x64\data\lang\[language]_rel.rpf".
• If on game version 1.0.2612.0 or above: "update2.rpf\x64\data\lang\[language]_rel.rpf".
Should probably also be common knowledge, but anyway.
Alternatively you can use the included .oiv package to automatically install it for all languages. Do note that this will overwrite any pre-existing trackid.gxt2 file in update2.rpf, and that this install option is only supported for game version 1.0.2612.0 or above.
Installing this is not needed unless you have more than one radio mod installed.
You get two options "regular" and "5airwaves":
• regular version is the plain old trackID file with all the radio mods included.
• 5airwaves version (found in the "optionals" folder) includes all the radio mods, as well as adjustments and corrections for original Rockstar tracks; as part of the V Airwaves mod.
INSTALL ONLY ONE OF THOSE - obviously you can't have both at the same time.
If you still can't tell the difference, see this.
TrackID files used in this mod are kept on github in their source format. This is if anyone needs the text label names for any reason or wants to let me know of an update or addition to track names in their mod.

@Matthew Liddell I don't think that is possible, not sure. ask the author. I do know, I have 57 or so stations, they all work, but on the wheel, there's only 40 icons visible including the OFF icon.

iFruit icon does not show up on the wheel. I only have Nightride, JNR and Afterglow radio mods installed. Anybody know why that happening?

Today's update changes
• Adds compatibility with San Andreas Mercenaries (1.0.2944.0).
• Added new optional resource: Community trackID (V Airwaves version). This is a gxt2 file that combines the trackID's from all mods into one big file, with some adjustments and corrections to original Rockstar track names as part of the V Airwaves mod.
• Added new optional resource: Beta radio icons. This is a successor to one of my older mods (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/beta-radio-station-logos) which changes the icon design of seven Rockstar radio stations to their cut versions.
• Added support for girlsonfilm's V Airwaves radio station mod.
• Added support for girlsonfilm's Pre-Millennium Radio radio station.
• Added support for HeySlickThatsMe's Shrewsbury Heavy Shotgun Mk II weapon.
• Updated Community trackID (regular version) resource.
